webfact Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Robot Olympiad champs need help getting to world finals By The Nation CHIANG MAI: -- Three Mathayom 1 students at Wattanothaipayap School in Chiang Mai have won the World Robot Olympiad Thailand junior championship and are ready to represent the country at the international level at a competition in Costa Rica in November. But they need money to get there. School director Thitinat Sakthananon is hoping donations to cover their travel expenses will come from citizens or the private sector. He’s waiting for calls at (089) 949 8291. Thitinat made the appeal on Tuesday afternoon as he congratulated Chayanon Wattanakeebut, 13, and Putthipong Hanpa and Natcha Khampoung, both 12. Their supervising teachers are Chawanlak Taphai and Sutthiporn Sutthi. Source: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/detail/national/30326575 -- © Copyright The Nation 2017-09-13
Yme Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Will be a real shame if these kids can't get to compete. Waiting for a reply from the school today to see how I can donate towards the cost. Kids shouldn't have their dreams and ambitions killed because of a shortage of money. Hopefully some others will feel the same and help these kids achieve their ambitions. They've already done the hard work and a few dollars from many people could be life changing. The school director can be contacted via Line for anyone interested in helping.
ksamuiguy Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 How can we help??? No sponsors because no money to be made. The talent of "The Kingdom" is being wasted.
