Hi,  I am from the UK. I suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apneoa and have a CPAP machine for it.

However, my REMstar CPAP machine has just died and my UK hospital has issued me replacement one, free of charge, which my daughter is going to post to me in Thailand.

We plan to mark the package  " Replacement Prescription Item, No commercial value", which I think is true & correct.

I understand that import duties into Thailand can be a bit high and somewhat difficult to understand. Does anyone have any experience on how this package might be treated by Thai customs regarding any taxes etc.

Thanks

JH

A lot depends on how it is shipped.

Make sure it comes by regular post and not a courier. In Thailand courier services pretty well guarantee customs problems.

Yes, that sounds like a good tip. Thanks.

i get my mail box in uk forwarded every month with all sorts of bits and pieces and never any problem, and parcels usually arrive in about 7 days.

i think I will change horses to Royal Mail etc ....
