Thai youths batter Iranian tourist in Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- No motive has emerged over a gang attack on an Iranian tourist in Pattaya early Tuesday morning.

Police said Ali Khadem, 29, was bleeding profusely from a head injury when he ran up to a police booth on Soi Pattaya 13 in Tambon Nongplue in Chon Buri’s Bang Lamung district at 5am.

 

Khadem told police through an interpreter that four or five young Thais had beaten him up. He said one of them had struck him on the head with a bottle while the others punched and kicked him.

 

The visitor was taken to Pattaya Memorial Hospital and rushed into intensive care.

 

Police detained two suspects, but they denied attacking the tourist.

 

CCTV camera recordings are being checked.

If the Iranian guy had actually died, the police would produce "proof" that the perpetrators were not Thai. Thai attackers are bad for tourism. Can they get away with doing this when the Iranian is still around to state who his attackers were? Were the attackers one of the motorcycle wolf packs  that are easily identified? If so, are they well enough connected to have the CCTV footage lost?

Just replace the word Iranian with Russian or American or Brit or Australian.  Pattaya attracts quality tourists from all around the world.  Add to them the upright youth's of Thailand and you have a wonderful mix

Mullahs are strongly advocating to have 'nut crackers' at immigration for Thai destination.

 

But they also wanted to come secretly via Dubai.
