Rin Kham Junction to be Completed Late December

CityNews – The Rin Kham intersection expansion is expected to be completed by the end of December according to the Chiang Mai Highway District 2 Office.

 

The intersection is expanding the left turn lanes so that traffic will be able to turn left at red lights. The expansion is part of a larger upgrade of the Superhighway that has brought criticism after the office built over a major canal that they first said they would leave as open air canals.

Immediately left, out of the picture.  The dirt lane you see there on the right will become the new turn lane to turn south on Nimman.

The one in the right background is the one that leaves westerly Huey Kaew turning left onto Nimman heading south.  

The one on the right foreground turns left off of northbound Nimman & heads west on Huey kaew toward Doi Suthep.

This appears to be looking east on Huay Kaew Rd. towards the Old City.  You can just see Hillside 4 peeking out from behind the Voodoo billboard.

Correct....I forgot for a second that they drive on the wrong side of the road here.  Think Park would be immediately to the right (but out of the picture).
