Water Jungle launches One Piece carnival

By The Nation

The Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Jungle water park and DEX [Dream Express] have launched a 45-day carnival that will exclusively feature the characters from One Piece.

The event will be held from December 1 until January 16 next year, “just in time to brighten up the year-end holidays and welcome the upcoming Children’s Day”, according to the organisers.

The press conference for this festival was attended by actor Sunny Suwanmethanon, a loyal fan of One Piece.

Vichien Vangveravongsa, DEX general manager, revealed that on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of One PIece, the company wanted to hold special activities to thank Thai fans who are increasing in number every year.

To achieve that end, the company collaborated with Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Jungle to host “One Piece Carnival Vana Nava Hua Hin”.

There will also be a One Piece Run with 5- and 10-kilometre routes for fans of all ages to join in, along with the 9 members of the Straw Hat Pirates gang, Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky and Brook. The run will be held on December 17 at the Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Jungle.

Natha Jamasevi, general manager of Vana Hua Hin Co, said the water park had created four activity zones where visitors can have fun and “set off on an adventure with the One PIece characters”.

Attractions will include a 7-meter high Luffy model, a Thousand Sunny Ship model and opportunities to pose with your favourite One PIece character.

Surprised anybody can afford to go there!! Expensive, limited food half the time.  Won't be back

Why is it "expensive"? On the contrary, it's affordable and  much less expensive than similar parks in Asia.

General admission ticket price for online booking
1. Adult Pass   THB 900
2. Child Pass Web   THB 540
3. Senior Pass Web (Age 60 yrs. & up)    THB 540

There are also Special Package s that include towels,  food etc.

The waterpark prices in Singapore range from 900 baht to 2500 baht depending upon the venue.

Hong Kong prices out at 2000 baht for adults, 900 baht for kids if you take a basic option.

Thailand isn't the impoverished  country of 25 years ago and prices for goods and services reflect that. There is a  growing middle class and they have money to spend.
