Bribe book found in raid of pub near Pathum Thani university

By The Nation

Police and district officials raided a pub near the Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi in Pathum Thani district early on Friday, arrested its manager, and discovered a book detailing bribes to officials.

Manager Charoenchoke Meksaen, 22, was charged with selling alcoholic drinks without a licence and violating two orders of the chief of the National Council for Peace and Order by operating an entertainment place close to an educational institute.

The 1.30am raid was led by Klong Luang district chief Nitichai Wiriuyanon.

The district chief said that officials also found an account book with details of bribe payments to several government agencies and officials on a daily and monthly basis.

Nitichai said local residents complained that the pub was operating near a university and was allowing teens under 18 to enter the venue.

Nitichai said the pub was previously cited for allowing underage people to enter and for selling alcoholic drinks without a licence.

Now the book's disappeared.....these people should always keep an electronic copy....but I would imagine that's like signing one' life away!

Yeah, I´ve also heard that they found books in the past with the same information. After that it´s never reported anything more.

give the book to Prayut, it wil be all action after that...not.

Either some of the pagers will be suspiciously ripped out soon, or the pages detailing lending of watches will be lined through !

Where did it say that the book had disappeared? They have photos of the book and it's transactions, anyway.

Damn. Looking at some of those numbers, I need to find a way to get into someone's little book!

The book Must of been full  Nothing will happen The police who found it just checked to see if they were in it and into the shredder it went

Thailand is just so corrupt

Government police etc.

Nothing will never change

Nobody will never be charged for this only the owner of this pub

And just watch as 'NOTHING' happens to all those Officials !

The person who bribed will be charged. No corrupt officials will be charged, and no names published. The Italian mafia and Russian mafia can learn from Thailand! :partytime2:

They, the mafia, already have, which is why they are so well rooted in Thailand. .. The Russians at least. It doesn't take much of a brain to see how things work here.
