Thai social media was in tears after a story from Phetchabun about a Thai husband and his dying Hmong wife tugged at the heartstrings.

The couple were married according to Hmong hilltribe traditions 14 years ago and went to live abroad. But when the wife became sick she came home to the Khao Khor area of the northern Thai province for treatment.

She was now in the final stages of terminal cancer affecting her brain.

It had always been her wish to have formal wedding pictures taken in western costumes. The husband came back to Thailand to give her her wish.

Amid much weeping a company that takes wedding pictures agreed to their request and took the shots.

The story was posted by the "Akestory Storylovewedding" page and was shared to "Mem Pho Dam".
