Any alternative to request for Death Certificate

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My kid has passed away in Nov 2017.  However, I have encountered so much difficulty in getting his death certificate.  Seems like my Thai wife keeps avoiding it or lost it or something else.

Is there any other alternative to request for a death cert as I am not staying in Thailand.

Thank you

As far as I know there is no other option than getting death certificate from an Amphoe.

It was probably done since it is a legal requirement for it be done. You need to get your wife to cooperate with you.

Wandering why he needs the wife (is it that both parents are required)

If he is the legally registered father couldn't he just load up with a Lawyer ( to tell them to stop the crap )

He is not here which makes it difficult.

I am sure it has been done. He could get a copy of it from the Amphoe where it was done.

Thanks for the information.

Unfortunately I am not the legally registered father nor did we register my marriage in Thailand.    Make matter worst,  I got an un-cooperative  spouse who has moved away from Amphoe for personal reasons.

Is your name on the birth certificate? If yes an Amphoe would recognize you as your child's father.
