Two Israelis accused of killing a compatriot on Koh Samui will “re-enact the crime” on Sunday surrounded by dozens of heavily armed police.

Dolev Zuarez, 24, and Eyal Bokal, 26, were arrested at Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport about five hours after they allegedly killed Maor Mallil, 34, and injured his girlfriend, Rashel Oshana, in broad daylight close to popular Chaweng Beach.

Police said the suspects drove their SUV into a motorcycle carrying Mallil and Oshana in front of Samui International Hospital. The suspects then allegedly stabbed Mallil, who was pronounced dead at a hospital.

The suspects fled in the SUV.

Police said the attack was in revenge for Mallil’s attack on the suspects, which took place in Israel. Mallil was jailed for 20 months for that crime. On his release, he travelled to Thailand, and the suspects followed him.

The duo will lead police to the crime scene in front of Samui International Hospital and then to Koh Samui International College, where they left the SUV, and to their rented room.

Deputy national police chief Pol General Chalermkiat Srivorakan will travel to Samui to observe the reenactment.

Can't miss an opportunity for a photo shoot!  As soon as the BiB get-on with what they're already paid to do instead if tarting themselves up for the cameras, Thailand will be a far better place.

I thought they had stopped these stupid re-enactments and posting photos of suspects?

Yes, agree, though someone forgot to tell RTP... and besides it allows for "a fair & free" trial...

Re enactment ? what for, its all on CCTV. Perhaps they have an arrangement for them to be topped while during it?

We have all seen the CCTV, perhaps the only ones who haven't seen it are the cops! even when the men have admitted it too!

The planned reenactment will take place at 6 spots on the tourist island as follows:

  1. Where the murder took place on Chaweng Beach-Choeng Mon road in front of Samui International Hospital;
  2. Where the suspects left their car in front of Mankhong housing estate 3;
  3. An apartment at Bophut beach where the suspects were staying;
  4. An intersection at a road leading to Chaweng beach behind Thai International Hospital where the suspect switched their car to a motorbike as they tried to escape;
  5. The fence of International School of Tourism Koh Samui where the suspects threw their bag;
  6. The car rental company from where the suspects rented the vehicle and motorbike used in the crime.

They had booked a flight to the Phillipines.

Ok let me explain. Looking at the video it looks so bad how two guys try so hard to kill a man, but then you look at the motive and they themselves were seriously assaulted etc first, gives it perspective

And if the government or the police insist on re-enactments, do it properly: reverse into a couple on a motorbike, fatefully stab at least one of them, and then flee. The entire process is stupidity with a capital S! Does it help anyone (when at least one suspect has admitted!), or is it just a bit of tittilating for those in power? This crap has been going on too long in Thailand. Only a very few banana republic still insist on it, and I thought I heard that Thailand is not a banana republic anymore.

In case you miss it, note the surname of the driver on Samui, Eval Bokal and the surname of the person of whom he was jailed for attempting to murder in Israel.

In August, 2015, Malul and an accomplice, Ron Shevach, attempted to assassinate Baruch Bokel, a Netanya criminal.

According to an indictment filed against them, Malul and Shevach ambushed Bokel as he headed home on his motorbike. Malul, who was driving a Toyota, accelerated and hit Bokel. Shevach, who was in the back seat, got out of the car with a loaded gun and wearing a mask.

the Israelis, or the police?... I just can't decide

The Israelis murdered an unarmed man in broad daylight on a busy street while the police tracked them down and arrested them for it.

No brainer really!

An eye for an eye, or 2 wrongs dont make a right. These nutters will have a very long time to think about their actions.There is a pretty good Danish(i think) tv series, the plot of which is almost this story to a tee. Its titled of all 'Farang'✡
