PhonThong
A fire broke out at the power control room of the Khon Kaen International Airport early on Friday, prompting all flights to be canceled during the first half of the day. The web page of the airport announced that a short circuit occurred in the electrical control room on the third floor of the main building of the airport at 5 am. The page said the airport's service had to be temporarily closed and passengers must contact their airlines – Nok Air, Lion Air, Thai Smiles and Thai AirAsia – for more details. The headline stated that service would be canceled the first half of the day. But, I have not heard if they are back to normal or not. Tried to contact the airport with no luck. Tried to contact Air Asia, again no luck. Called, E-mailed, checked on their website. Absolutely no information to be found. Have a flight tomorrow but can not find out if the airport is back to normal operation.
