CityNews – A Songtaew and a Police patrol car were involved in a head on collision today in Chang Phueak.

 

On 23rd March, Police responded to an accident involving a songtaew and a police patrol car that crashed head on after the songtaew driver overshot a curve and crashed with the police car pulling out of the Chang Phueak police station.

Well, in the 10 years I've been here in Chiang Mai, I think that's only the 2nd or 3rd accident I know of involving a Songtaew, and surprised there are not a lot more.

 

He must have "overshot" at some speed,and what does that actually mean?

I know nearly all drivers cut the corner,never heard of one overshooting one.

It means crossing the centre lines into the oncoming lane of traffic.
