I know only the way if the go Highway one and then south on 352. The road itself is ok, but there are really a lot of trucks.

If i had to choose a route now i would give 1 / 33 / 3369 (and so on ...) a try, but i did never drive there yet.

Thanks, maybe someone will tell me which they think is the best road to take after route one.

The 33 or 3369?  Someone told me to go through the Khao Yai National Park after Saraburi, anyone recommend that route?

I drove by car coming from the northeast (#2) via Saraburi.

Saraburi to Bangkok (#1): some of the worst drives I experienced.

Crowded (trucks), aggressive unlimited speeding/beam flashing (vans etc.), fairly bumpy stretches and tedious views (many commercial/industrial areas, the usual ugly shacks).

Once I had to view some accident remains.

Cows torn apart, intestines splashed.

Cars with brown smear.

That may not be the norm though

That was a few years ago (2013 or so).

Haven't been on the #33 for probably 6 - 7 years, and that was the time they widened and resurfaced the road, but I guess a 2 digit road will always be a better option than a 4 digit one.

no

Always depends on your expectation.

On one occasion I sat in a bus coming from #2 towards Pattaya.

I expected that it would go the #1, 9, 7 route.

But no, shortly before Saraburi it turned south onto a 4 digit rd.

I can't remember which it was.

From the map it should be #3222.

It has a seemingly endless amount of steep klong bridges.

In the bus it felt like going up with an elevator.

Don't ask me how to continue after #3222.

322 to Ban Na
20 km's down 33 to Nakon Nakok
3076/3096 to Phanom Sakharam
3245 to Ko Chan
3341/3246 to Phanat Nikhom
315 to Chonburi

Thanks I will check that out, someone, not this thread, mentioned going through Khao Yai Park, do you know anything about that?

You probably mean #3222 (4 digits) to Ban Na?

(going straight to the south from #2 east of Saraburi)
