I'd be VERY wary of such a deal. I tried that one time from an eBay member who appeared to be in good standing, turned out to be a ripoff - when I went to register using the key provided, the return message was the key had already been used. What's that old saying? "If it seems too good to be true . . ."

BTW, a quick Google search provided many vendors selling at right around 4k baht. I guess that's the price of a clear conscience and an absolutely valid product key.

And what is the problem? Just do some screenshots and send they to ebay and you get your money back.

Super easy, cheap and trustful!!!

It is worth it to keep your pc clean and legal if you plan to conduct any sort of private business such as banking on it. That is your only hope, and it is only a hope, to keep your information safe. YMMV

Also if you fly around with your notebook. Everywhere they can check your licenses.

Over that last couple of years I have purchased 6 Win 10 Pro,from sellers on Ebay UK,

all are registered, updating, and working without problem, if they where not valid keys

without doubt Microsoft, would not register them.maybe you were just unlucky ?

Some seller are more greedy than other, and the bad one sell the same key multiple time, using the fact that microsoft is relax with that and with a simple phone call they will activate your "not working key"
Tough i heard ot people who bougth a key that have to be reactived every 6 months....

But even with the honest seller those key are always OEM key. That mean you normaly cant use them on another PC later or change to much part of your computer hardware.
At this price its not matter in regard of the non OEM key price as long you not a professional working in a country where this kind of stuff is sometime checked.

I did buy orignal key for my compagny computer, but my personals one run on cheap OEM key (they are so cheap that its not worth the trouble to have a hack and dont know what unwanted malware on your computer).

You can easily buy from Ebay using PayPal, or your bank account. If your system says that the program isn't genuine, you could just insert the key you'll get when buying from Ebay. The rest will be done by MS.

But it would make sense to do a clean install, deleting all the viruses from the shop your Windows was installed. They are using an installation disc and hard drives with plenty of viruses on. It's a straightforward installation that shouldn't be a problem for an experienced user.

Have you ever watched them doing a set up of an operating system?

My friend has a computer shop and none of his employees speaks English.

Paranoia complex, you gotta be kidding.

Yes, I've been using fortune and pantip for years

Often sat down and watched them install operating systems on my pcs

They used to offer you a new sealed genuine  windows or spin a copy disc for 100thb

You can run your own virus  and malware scanners when you get home

The customs & the police!!! They have the right to check your mobile phone, notebook, tablet, external harddisk for every legal/unlegal stuff (pictures, software, ...).

That wasn't my point. They are using Norton Ghost for the OS program and got the other programs on external hard drivers, or memory sticks.

Unfortunately, are there most of the time viruses and Trojan horses on them and seldom a clean install. If for example a certain DLL file is infected, you won't be able to delete it.

Your spot on there,  this also includes copies from pirated sites, that are labeled cracked, preactivated or multiple editions.  When they are created they put on what is called silent installers, this is where they install the malware keyloggers etc.  I dissasembled a thai w7 labeled slim and fast.  It had a hidden install of a vpn server and other Trogan malware. The biggest problem is they make it easy for the average user to install a pirated version without understanding what they may have just installed.   They ebay keys are real keys usually made with a keygen that understands the algorithem,  they will work and update, but like i said not to follow the sellers links, install a authentic version.

The only issue in Australia is for companies who use windows corporate versions that are checked during tax audits.  There are massive fines for breaches, never heard of a individual though.

Try eBay, please. You can buy W 10 Pro for 300- 700 baht, MS Office 2016 Pro for 250 baht, Kaspersky one year protection 200 baht, etc.

All machines are genuine now and I don't like to deal with any copies that cause the blue screen, freezing in and more. The license doesn't expire, no pop-ups, etc..

You only have to check on the buyer's satisfaction, keys are usually sent only an hour after purchase.

Can only repeat what I did.

Bought a license key from a German company openly advertising.

With full company details, name of director, tax ID, business registration nr., phone and postal address.

Might well be a one-man company, but what do I care.

It cost 11.99 EUR, worked fine, W10 activated.

No trace of a problem to expect.

SW downloaded from Microsoft beforehand.

+ 1. Bought quite a few keys for a similar amount. All four machines in our household have a digital entitlement, are activated and part of a Microsoft account. These are not fake numbers.

In some countries, yes, but not all.  Here in New Zealand, for example, Customs cannot compel you to hand over passwords for your devices.

I believe that may have changed as of 29/3/2018.

I paid 185B for a useless Win 10 Pro product key on ebay. After my complain the seller gave me another one, just as useless. I went to a second seller, paid 260B. Now my window is activated.

I am thankful to all the TV members who posted on this thread.
