 Perhaps you only need one PC. BTW, One Drive, or Google Drive is not an option for me to back up a complete drive C with various programs. The only good alternative is to have all backed up on an external drive. ( Preferred using Macrium to restore and backup)

Yer right mate. I use Acronis. And do a Windows back-up every week. And all my important stuff, doc, photos etc are on both One Drive and Google drive. Would putting it all on Acronis Cloud be a bit over the top ?   lol

I was using Acronis for some years, but never cloud. But once you've got more images on one external drive, it's sometimes very irritating  because the drive letters are different to the ones how you know them.

   Macrium, even the free version is in my opinion much better, no intention to badmouth your decision.

Macrium Free gets my vote...been using it for a couple of years....I do image backups to a couple of external USB drives every few weeks to a month or so.   I alternate between the two drives in cases one would ever die.  And I have had to use those Macrium backups a couple of times to recover....worked like a charm.

Look to yourself perhaps?

I have working devices. I fix them myself. I've also fixed thousands of machines remotely and the likelihood of it being a problem with your Motherboard is slim. 3000 baht to fix the problem is totally ridiculous.

Your reply;

Why, did you have a solution ? Nah, didn't think so.

speaks volumes about you.

Perhaps a bit too hasty in speech and action.

Without knowing the model number and a description of the problem, no one here could give you an answer.

Did the Tukcom technician replace anything to do the the Motherboard? Almost certainly not.

Reseat RAM? Quite possibly. BIOS recovery? Possible. Dependent on their level of skill.

The official ACER service centre in Chonburi would charge as little as 400 baht + VAT open her up and put her back together again. Making sure everything was seated properly.

You spent 3000 baht and you have no idea what they did.

As I stated, I have no idea why you created this thread.

But since you are happy with the result, let's just move on.
