Eight passengers were injured when a van drove into a ditch in the middle of a road in Nakhon Sawan’s Muang district and overturned late on Tuesday night, police said.

The accident happened at 11pm on the Bangkok-bound Nakhon-Sawan Kamphaeng Phet road in Tambon Nong Krod.

The van with 14 passengers was driving from Mae Sot in Tak to Mahachai in Samut Sakhon. The eight injured passengers were sent to the nearby Sawan Pracharak Hospital.

The van driver, Chanda Chantia, 30, told police that the road’s design required him to suddenly change to the left lane without warning. As he could not change lane in time, the van fell into the ditch and overturned.

The accident happened at the same spot where a Mae Sot-Bangkok bus fell into the ditch on April 20, killing two passengers and injuring 32 others, police said.

...and again one driver that is not responsible for his driving attitude, in the night is strongly recommended to slow down your velocity, in this area, they do have a the moment some reparation work...

The road changed direction without warning so his van rolled into a ditch .

I hope the road in question gets a very stern warning . Not easy for thai drivers at night.
