Pattaya Gary is in his 70's....but does admit that its all getting a bit old.  I am somewhere in between and did find someone who doesn't make faces, pout, or do any of those other ridiculous things

you see so many girls/ladies do.  I suspect that cbfarang is single .....but really would like a partner.  Just my gut.  The older you get the more lonely being alone is  .  I don't care if she talks, just want to hear someone walking around the house once in a while   ( that is said somewhat in jest....for those TV members that take everything very literally).

I`m already married. Lived together for 30 odd years and then officially married her last year so she becomes eligible to inherit my pension if I kick the bucket before her. We have an understand, every now and then she has no problems letting me do my own thing providing I don`t get personally involved with any women. some may not agree, but we are both happy with that arrangement and it works well for both of us. I don`t go out deliberately lurking for women, but I do go out socialising with mates once a week. Once a year I go away for a week or two, either on my own or with friends. My wife also enjoys some space away from me at times, and in actually this enhances our marriage.

I now little about you I am in my 60's.

But I go to tell you, I think the easiest thing to find in this country is a GF.

One 10, 20, 30 years younger what you want?

If you do not care much about attraction, it will cost you very little.  Maybe even an older attractive girl.

If one has a house that's a huge plus.

I spend most of my time in Pattaya and Bangkok the quality of guys with some of these girls do not match.

Guys in wheelchairs being pushed around by attractive girls.

Anyway, it mostly does take some money but not always as much as one may think but you got to get out there and take your chances.  Lots of girls working in hotels, shops, the mall, restaurants, and yes even massage who would love to quit or even keep working with little assistant.

of course you're right !  easiest thing to find a gf.  i've lived with more than a few.  BUT,  for me the quality of girl did not match !  be it a BG or a "good girl".........  When it no longer feels good, I make a change.  That's just my own personal choice.  I am not going to live with someone or be in a situation that i don't like any longer.

Thanks for sharing :-)   I understand your situation and it sounds like a good one.   Long ago I did a 16 year marriage and have a great daughter who was born in Chiangrai 29 years ago.  I also would get away from time to time without any real issues.....kind of the best of both worlds.  Happy to hear you've got the freedom and sense to not be owned..  So, sounds like you're not too bored after all :-)

We'll there isn't that much to do. A typical day involves going to the market, working in the garden or sunbathing, going out to cafés and or to eat, and going out at night either for live music or drinking, dating and the time that takes talking to people and making arrangements. If you have a girl your more busy meeting regularly maybe spending time or nights at her place and meeting her friends.

if you get really bored try side trips to pai, chiang rai tachilek Burma.

 

i couldnt take take cm after 3-4 years, just left and traveled around Vietnam and cambodia. I came back to cm later for another several months but it did not feel the same to me personally. So ended up just leaving for other pastures.

 

when end I came back the last time I saw my previous girlfriend with another guy at the market which was weird and depressing. If you leave it tends to end all previous relationships fyi

i find to many things to do

the wife is in a dance group of middle aged women at the temple

always dancing at events and merit days at temples  and cm events and parades

we are always cooking food to give to children and elderly /also merit days at temples

they like my spaghetti in meat sauce/ next week asked to cook and give enough for 200 people at temple

i make wooden toys for children  around the area 

we take orphan children to the beach 3 times a year for a few weeks

i have a veg garden and chickens which most veg and eggs go to people around

dog/ fish ponds and garden where i feed the wild birds morn and night

i could go on as there is always something to do

i'd have to agree chiang mai is no fun. if you were in for instance america you could have real fun; walk around carrying an automatic weapon and kill people

they is alot u can do if you want.many clubs where sport is available bowls and golf.you can play bridge 4 times a week at the bridge club.chess club too.they is alot you can do  apart from loi kroh rd and the boxing ring.pool league is also popular along with quizz nights at the un irish.they is a lot in cm for the expats if you want to get out
