Dead fish found floating at a favourite Krabi public park

Lots of duckweed was also found in the water as the water windmills haven't been working.

Last weekend many dead fish were found floating in a lagoon of a public park in Krabi town. The park is a popular spot where people are exercising. It is also an important tourism destination in Krabi.

The lagoon has a bad smell from dead fish with flies attracted to the smell of rotting fish. Monitor lizards had also moved into the area eating the dead fish. No official have inspected the area or organised an investigation as to what might be causing the dead fish (as of Tuesday).

Judging by the thick green growth of algae it's probably nitrate poisoning from run off from fertilzer or oxygen starvation.it only takes a fine mist of pesticides to blow over a body of water to kill.looking at the picture I don't think a swamp monster from a horror film could live in that.my friends koi pond was wiped out after the neighbor sprayed their pesticides a couple of months ago.as usual Thailand is the hub of poisoning and destroying their once beautiful environment.

There is a pond in the middle of the exercise park I use in our village, I regularly see dead fish there and there is no algae or anything like it.

It's pretty obvious.
