Automatically copy/update text on multiple slides in Powerpoint

I have a powerpoint presentation which has a number of headings on the first page.  These headings are then used in several different places on subsequent slides.

What I'd like to is set it up so that if I edit the text box for the heading on the main slide then all the other instances will be updated automatically.  Is this possible?

Thanks

Take a few hours to get acquainted with the Slide Master functionality and you should be able to correct all the current slides (and future ones) simultaneously.

Yes this function is like inserting a comment in a header or footer so it will appear on every page/slide.
