Much more confortable than any Mercedes sedans and tons of luggage space. Does anybody remember the small Renaults they had here in the 1970s. The loss of face owning a merc that is used for taxis will be too much to take . ? Yes, lol, the HI-SO Thais along Sukhmuvit/Ekhamai will be appalled if they see a Merc with any kind of 'for hire' sign on it or worse ......'this is a farang friendly taxi, we speak English and German.' VIP means little here, same as for apartments with Mansion in the name. The real VIP's know who they are anyway and dont hire. Merc sales down. Jag, Audi and BMW up. The irony of course is that Jap engines & transmissions are far superior to German makes. Edited May 26, 2018 by lanista
sqwakvfr
Not a bad idea but each taxi should have the following: 1. Competent, sober and alert driver 2. A modern meter(and the drivers have to use them) 3. A printed receipt.

I think price had a lot to do with the decision making The E class and a GLC (SUV) are much more expensive than the C class.

All Thai Taxi are a good company, nice taxis, polite drivers, you can also request English speakers I seem to recall. I never was able to get taxi from them via their app. Works poorly and nobody ever answered the phone. Why would this change because if "ViP car"? Why would this change because if "ViP car"? I'm used them a fair amount, always been fine. Nice clean cars, drivers in silky jackets ! They always arrive early when pre-booking. Did have one problem once when I booked a very early taxi and they cancelled it !
