You do realize that Open source software like Linux kernel and git are the closest thing to Communism that we have in the tech world? Torvalds created the prototype of Linux kernel as a school project. And it was barely functional. Thousands of people VOLUNTEERED THEIR TIME TO WORK FOR FREE FOR GLORIOUS OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE COMRADES. 👍 In order to sort of make it work. Try turning on the verbose error mode. You'll see all kinds of weird warnings and sometimes errors in open source code. To me it seems the trouble with OSS in my experience is like there's no one to take system responsibility. Each coder is in their own silo and ignores errors from other parts of the code base... "Not my yob" 😧 -
