Nice bike ???? ..

I like the return to a singular circular tail and headlight ..

essentially the same machine below but with MV's now becoming trademark stacked slash-cut exhausts ..

Another motorcycling legend passed away last month.  Ralph Hudson, who broke the world semi streamlined record in 2017 with an average speed of 284mph over three runs on the Uyuni Salt Flats in Bolivia - including a top speed of 300mph, died following a crash at Bonneville while doing 252mph.  He was 69 years old.  A hero.  RIP.

Serb 96 with a  2-stroke engine, many years ago I think it was the BMF bike show at Peterborough, someone dropped one of these engines in to a Norton Featherbed  frame ,made a good job to.

Meguro 650 twin from about 1965 before the marque was absorbed into Kawasaki ..

W1 650 Kawa's first refresh of essentially the same bike before the final 1973 W3 model ..

That Meguro 650 ,put a BSA badge on the tank ,that could have been a A10.

Yea it unashamedly mimicked a BSA but then Japan in the first decade after WW2 could do little else but copy other nationalities offerings ..

Yamaha's first bike YA1 was a fairly blatant copy of DKW's prewar RT125 same as Tohatsu's 125 up a couple of pages back .. The Meguro is very rare now reflected in the price if one ever becomes available ..
