I've got no idea how somebody can get in such troubles. perhaps they had the bikes from friends for a test ride?

I feel very sorry for them. For the poor bikes, not for the idiots who're acting as hard core bikers.

I have to ask you how were the harley guys acting as hard core bikers. They looked like the typical Harley rider back in the states over 50 and out for a days rise which went side ways

Oh, and do not goose a Suzuki 750 triple in the gravel parking lot behind the shop. A 500+ pound motocy is not a dirt tracker.

We had a little modded rotary valve 100cc bike that came through for service that was a lot more fun.  The other shop guy who raced Husqvarnas and one of those 400cc Suzuki MX bikes had a ball.

That they actually got it to work was an achievement

If I remember correctly they did do a couple of races with it and won? Think you could buy one, was tempted - until I saw the price!

The NR500 debuted at the British GP 1979 .. Two bikes entered and both bombed with one catching fire from what I remember .. H perservered with it for 2 more yrs but its best finish was about 12th at the South African GP before they bit the bullet , scrapped the project and went over to the first of the lunatic NSR 2 strokes for the '82 season ..
