502 Bad Gateway driving me nuts.

Featured Replies

Hello computer and internet geniuses.

I am getting error “502 Bad Gateway nginx”while trying to connect to

https://mynorthwest.com/

I am running Win 10 and have tried connecting with IE 11 and Edge. However, if I connect through “Betternet” VPN I can connect, but that is slow and a pain in the backside. I have been going to this website daily for years without any problems.

I have cleared cookies, flushed DNS, shutdown router and PC for 10 minutes, run CCleaner and Glary with no luck.

Any ideas?

Any help is much appreciated.

Kidd

When I click your link I get a bad gateway.

Trying this link http://mynorthwest.com/ I get this.

But this link does work. http://sports.mynorthwest.com/? Clicking My North West at the top of that page shows not working.

It appears to be a problem with the site not your computer. You might try connecting with a US VPN to see if it works.

Betternet VPN through Atlanta GA works, but like I said, it's slow. Good to know it's probably not my PC. I'll keep trying.

Thanks for the input.

Without VPN, ToT fiber: bad gateway.

With VPN (PureVPN paid subscription): works fine.

So now you have no better chance then trying to contact them by email and find out whether they lock out readers from Thailand/SEA intentionally?

Might well be the case because of the high rate of internet attacks and high number of infected machines here.

I remember a thread about a US online shop (homestore?) which also locked out Thailand IPs with such a coarse error message.

^^^ "lock out readers from Thailand/SEA intentionally?"

Hadn't thought about that, but certainly possible. I'll contact them and ask. Thanks for your post.

?Always good to get feedback on such threads (too rare unfortunately).
