Police have announced the arrest of a man who tied up a cleaner then abducted her daughter from a foreigner's house in Hua Hin on Tuesday.

The mother and daughter were employed to clean the house and were then confronted at knife point by the intruder.

He tied the mum to the banisters before attempting to sexually assault her daughter forcing her to drive off on a motorcycle owned by the mother.

The 18 year old was let go near a Car Care firm and the suspect disappeared on the bike.

The hunt for the man went from Hua Hin to Bangkok then to Udon Thani.

Thai Rath called the arrested man a "lust fiend" while Prajuab Khiri Khan deputy police chief Pol Col Nirandorn Sirisangchai said the case was a very serious one in which the public demanded quick action.

Many police jurisdictions were involved in the hunt resulting in the arrest of Watcharapong Waraha, 23, who was registered as living in the Pahonyothin area of Phayathai in Bangkok.

He was finally tracked down to an address in Udon Thani and taken into custody on a warrant. He was found in possession of the mobile phone stolen from the mother.

Watcharapong had ten other cases of theft against his name.

He admitted what he had done saying that he dumped the stolen motorcycle by the toilets at Hua Hin railway station before boarding a train to Hualampong station in Bangkok.

From there he traveled to Udon Thani where he was arrested.

The house at the scene of the original crime is in the Khao Phitak area and is owned by a foreigner who has not been named. The owner was not there at the time of the theft and abduction.

20 years of hard labour and prison rape.

Idiotic comment. Rape is a criminal assault. Advocating criminal assaults is indicative of  a someone with no moral values and no understanding of the concept of right and wrong. The justice system is not there to torture or to inflict criminal assaults. Keep your perverted violent homosexual fetish fantasies to yourself. Rape is wrong, no matter who suffers it.

Steal a motosai then leave it by a railway station.  There is a clue there .  If I commited a crime and was on the run I would leave the bike by the railway station and hop it on a bus.
