CHR is one of the ugliest car ever produced. But it's not that important when you're inside I guess.

Sitting in the back is not for claustrophobic people, important to consider if you have kids or passengers. They will hate the restricted view.

Yes because design team is supposed to come for Lexus branch of Toyota.

Be nice if the Lexus peeps could nip over to Honda and show them how to cut road noise in car. Hondas a total disaster compared to Toyo.

That is a bit wrong, as it was actually supposed to be a Scion (not Lexus), before this brand was closed down.

It's the new design language for Toyota. If you look at the new Camry in the US, it has similar styling - all under the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform.

You are right for the US market, it was going to be sold under scion brand.. but in fact the C-HR interior was finally designed by the Toyota Euro team to fullfill european tastes in the first place.

This design team in France works for Lexus as well, of course (https://lexusenthusiast.com/2015/06/09/inside-the-lexus-ed2-design-studio-in-france) !

The C-HR’s interior is the work of Toyota’s European SQ team on the Cotes d’Azur in France working closely with the headquarters design team to maintain the original interior styling concept.

And to be honest, the US version of the C-HR is the worst available, no hybrid and basic multimedia system

Initial production was in Japan and Turkey. The North American-spec C-HR is imported from Turkey.

The North American model only offers a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, compared to two other engines in other markets. In North America, it was originally planned to be sold as a Scion before that marque was discontinued.
