July 30, 20187 yr I've got a 2014 Isuzu Hilander crew cab (4 dr) pickup and the AC is blowing hot air...presuming that a local (not dealer) mechanic pressure tested for leaks and re charged with refrigerant what would be the price for labor and materials (refrigerant only)?...someone said 800baht and that sounds a bit high for a non dealer operation... I could do it meself fer the price of a packet of crisps but I'm drinkin' vodka and can't be bothered...
July 30, 20187 yr 800 sounds cheap to me...how could you do it for a packet of crisps ?...would they be a small 20 baht pack, medium 40 baht or large 60 baht crisps...cheese and onion or spicy BBQ ?
July 30, 20187 yr Author salt and vinegar will do, preferably Walkers and a pint of Tim Taylor's Landlord bitter, ta... in the bad old days I worked inna garage in west LA and topping up car AC was a common work order...canisters of refrigerant and the rest of the gear was cheap back in them days and I only got $6.50 an hour...now if they pressure tested for leaks before re charging then 800baht is maybe OK...in west LA you'd take yer mercedes to a car AC specialist with a serious problem... I useta drive a rusty '66 VW combi van meself...the natural ventilation useta be OK at 50mph which was all it could do: ' (honk, honk, honk) get that piece of shit outta the way ye low life piece of shit!!!' tokin' on a number and swigging from a bottle of cheap red I knew that my karma was better than theirs...
July 31, 20187 yr Top up is cheap if no leaks are present, though a gas evacuation and re-gas isn't cheap...The refrigerant is expensive..
