Anyone else know about these Karaoke clubs ? Thai men go work there and lady's buy them drinks the same way you buy lady drinks in GoGos.

 

Bar girls go here and spend their money to feel love from thai men, since most are unwanted by thai men in the first place.

It is a well known fact that some girls go to these places and buy the guys drinks or pay their bar-fine.

 

I am not so sure how much the girls are unwanted by thai men.

 

I guess the attraction for the girls in those bars is similar to why guys go to girly bars: When you pay for the performance then, if you do it right, you get what you pay for. If the girls pay then they are in control...

 

Many of the males in my wife's extended family work in karaoke bars. They make a little from being bought drinks, but being barfined is rare. Most met their girlfriend in such places. The nightly auction is rather humiliating!

Toy boy bars and Gigolo bars for women to pay men for sex. I've also seen, Farang, Japanese and Thai women bar fining men in Gay Go Go bars in Pattaya.

Unfortunately they are all Laotians, with no education, so employment opportunities are limited. Two of them managed to get work as (totally unqualified) builders, but due to their illegal status, they are at the mercy of unscrupulous employers. Karaoke work is better paying, and they are usually tipped off before any police raids. The few lucky ones have met Thai girls through the work, and are now supported by their bar earnings!

And the sad face is about the fact that it seems you think it's necessary to write derogatory comments about other people. Does that make you feel better or why do you do that?

Now you have me curious ...

Boys work in those karaokes much the same way that girls work in other karaokes. They get a salary, sing songs for the customers, have drinks bought for them, get tips and, if they are lucky, they get to "hook up" with some horny girls, many of whom make way more than the boys do (for basically the same type of work).

 

A lot of girls arrive in places like Pattaya and soon after go to one of those karaokes because they've seen/heard the music at the "foreign bars" and it is "foreign" to them whereas the karaokes are very much like what they would see back in their home villages. A lot of the boys in those karaokes are hoping to latch onto a meal ticket that will make them good money so they can spend their days playing pool, drinking whiskey and visiting their "side girls".

 

I knew a few girls that had hooked up with "karaoke boys". In one case, 2 girls moved into an apartment 2 floors below me. 2nd night in Pattaya I took them out drinking and dancing and we ended up at a karaoke bar. I left 30 minutes later as I was bored stiff.

Saw the girls the next day. One of them already had a "karaoke boy" boyfriend that moved in with her that same day.

(He had to leave in a hurry a couple weeks later though as he'd been slapping the girl around and bruised her up because she wasn't "making enough money" for him. The lady that owned the building basically told him he had an hour to be gone or he'd end up face down in a khlong somewhere.)

Another girl in the building next to the one I was in got into a big fight with her "karaoke boy" after she caught him with another girl. She was working in one of those massage places where all the customers sit or recline on chairs in one room with the big window looking onto the street (not one of those "shady" places where all the "massaging" is done upstairs in private rooms).
He'd been taking the money she earned and was spending it on other girls he wanted to screw and then had the balls to bring one of them back the the apartment the massage girl was renting, not expecting her to come home early. She had at him with a butcher's knife and put a big slice in one arm before onlookers were able to grapple her and take away the knife. 

Karaoke boy left and never came back. She ended up leaving not long after as well. (Apparently life in Pattaya wasn't what she'd been expecting so she went home according to the neighbours.)

(Note - despite her going at the guy and cutting him with the knife, the cops weren't called and nothing else happened.)

Yes OP, many BGs prefer Thai men, and some even pay for their company.  And these are the same BGs who tell farang customers "I no like Thai men!"  "Only like farang!"  Funny that. 

Young people living life to the full,  not much fun trudging to work at @15.30 knowing you’ll be there till 2am+,  plus they like to have a drink

Could that be because most farangs they go with are twice their age, are overweight, smell and are pi$$ed, not to mention cheap Charlie's that cannot perform more than 5 minutes, at the end of they day, they want some fun too, no harm in that, their young only once.

The title is misleading. Once I give them my money it becomes their money. If they want to spend it on whoever or whatever they earned the right to do so

<deleted> being told I've been dragged there a couple times by the girls that worked in my mates bar, many years ago. Funny as, bit embarrassing for the boys on parade though. Bar girls have got a tonne of front at the best of times when they are pissed up, got pockets full of cash and chasing guys they are actually attracted to its like throwing a deer before a lion.
