AIS Fibre IPv6 Prefix

Featured Replies

Hey all, quick question:

I'm in the process of configuring my home network with a new router and was wondering if AIS will assign an IPv6 prefix less than /64?

I just know my Asus 86U shows a /64 IPv6 prefix length for my AIS IPv6 connection.

You mean /128 for each individual device?

I was hoping to have a couple subnets - if AIS gives me a /60 that leaves me 4 bits to create up to 16 subnets.  The last 64 bits are the device address that can be configured with SLAAC or DHCPv6.  Not the end of the world if I can't do it.

Sorry I do not understand DHCPv6 or subnets or SLAAC, but all I can say is that last week I got 3BB FTTH, 100 mb/s (Bht 700 ), connected my 3 PCs to it with CAT6 cables, and now get 110 mb/s on all of them, and over 60 on my wifi phones.
