"Stay away from my daughter!" - angry Thai father shoots man at Tesco Lotus

7PM.jpg

A Thai father who had repeatedly warned a man to stay away from his daughter shot at him then fired into his pick-up in the parking lot of Tesco Lotus in Nakorn Pathom yesterday.

Police captain Wasan Tangtham found a lot of blood in a bakery at Lotus where U-Then had fled following the shooting.

The victim was hit in the leg and was rushed to a local hospital after suffering severe blood loss.

Outside in the parking lot waiting for the cops was 71 year old Suchart with a .22 gun. He was with his wife and family in a Toyota in parking area 8C.

In parking area 6C police found the victim's Isuzu pick-up with four bullet holes. Two front tires had been shot out.

Muang district police chief Pol Col Phaitoon Phitaktham said that the victim had tried to flirt with the suspect's daughter for two years. She rejected U-Then's advances.

U-Then then went on Facebook to allegedly insult the father making him more cross.

Suchart was out with his family shopping at Lotus when U-Then came up to his car and banged on it.

This set Suchart off and he shot at U-Then before firing four shots into his pick-up.

Suchart has been detained and charges are being decided.

   Read the OP.

He wasnt shot in the bakery , he fled to the bakery AFTER being shot .

He was shot outside by the car which he was banging on

And “ he did well by just shooting him and not killing him”

.........For banging on his car cos he wanted to bang his daughter.

The man was warned to stay away from the daughter, but no mention of whether the daughter was encouraging him.

I learn't quite early in life that when your advances are rejected, if you continue chasing the said female, you are basically 'pissing into the wind', and it is time to move on and try elsewhere.

Quite a lot of Thai males don't seem to have the same mindset.

At least he only shot him in the leg, remarkable restraint for a Thai, could have been aiming at other part of body, maybe shaking a bit after all 71 years old.

Fink you are out hitting any of the three stumps...????

Why Shoot him, Call the cops, Most Thais have little faith in the Police. Stick a 22 in his Face he will walk away, shoot him, old man go to JAIL.You cant shoot a person even if he was breaking the car windows, Call the Cops !!!!..  Think, You dumb As_  !!  You go too Thailand Jail and sleep on concrete floor with 90 other convicts, Enjoy. If he tried to leave then shoot his truck tire....
