Notebooks use often other modules than PCs. Lower production - higher price. But then there is also the problem that sometime cheap and good RAM is available but not on the official RAM list for that product. I ordered once for a guy RAM for 4,000B, exactly according to specifications. And later I found out other RAM modules from Kingston with the same capacity cost less than half of that money. But they were not in the official list for that notebook...
