Every 2 years the bathroom upstairs starts leaking through the  floor...the grout disappears and i'm tired of fixing it.

What is the best grout available in Thailand? That crocodile brand is crap, we need something better.

You have cement floor with tile over it?  Maybe needs waterproof cement layer under tiles?  Our upstairs floor BR floor is more than 40 years old and has never leaked other than tub drain - removed tub.  Believe to seal local floor gout they polish with cooking oil (or at least they did several decades ago).

Weber is the only other main brand that I know to, you would be best to seal under the tiles though with either a membrane or one of the flexshield cement bases available....

It's a concrete floor with tiles but the space between the tiles is only 2mm (should be 5 mm like in Europe).

I put new grout several times but it disappears. It's my wife's bathroom, i never come there except when it's leaking again.

In Europe we have additives to add to grout, is there an improvement for it available in Thailand?

Now i'm thinking of glueing new tiles over the old ones with that glue from a bucket (ready to use) but i need the best grout available...

The only time grout will disappear is if you have movement in the tiles. Give them a tap and if some sound hollow their buggered. Leaving you with one option take up and redo. Tip never go over old tiles.

The cement base should have a water sealer added and as you say 5cm thick.

Saying all of the above how much of a gap do you have between the tiles if it's minimal then the grout wont go in enough so will come out. Using a strong cleaner will also bugger the grout.

Regards grout any waterproof floor grout should be fine. I have used several makes here and found them all to be good.

Hope this helps.

I think the Duck bathroomcleaner dissolves the grout...

Downstairs in my bathroom i glued tiles over the old ones with that paste-glue from a bucket and even after being flooded for 2 weeks it's still good....

I think the reason why in Europe we use gaps from 5 mm is because of the temperature difference which we don't have in BKK.

I bought new grout today for extra small gaps from 0.2 mm....didn't know it existed...also it's something new and high quality...we'll see. I'll try that first and order nice swimmingpool tiles, the turqoise ones and glue them over the old ones...it's no fun to get the old ones out first.

Also bought a good Grohe tap (old one was leaking) and a new hose....i want everything european quality this time.

Also our waterhose to the waterfilter had collapsed and guess what? They don't sell that in homepro and whatsadu...they only have 1 meter pieces and i need much more. Nothing is easy in BKK...
