Are you saying the helmet has actually reshaped your skull? If so, I think you should stop this immediately. It is all beginning to sound rather like some Mengele experiment. We are back to the Germans again.

I wrote that i look like a seal cause i shaved all my hair off to make it fit better. The germans can't even make helmets that fit well...their glory years have gone....now the japanese rule for high quality..

What a nonsense... you simply ignored basic knowledge how to buy a suitable helmet.
You may guess why some shops in Europe even let you testride with a helmet for some hours.

Never heard of that testride but yes that would be the best...

But it's weird that for Yamaha helmets i have XL and Schuberth XXL is hurting a lot....

I'm going to cut the foam soon and rebuild my schuberth since the hot spoon method isn't working good enough and i don't dare to use a hotter spoon or the liner will melt.

For what it's worth, if you have a Shoei helmet that doesn't seem t fit quite right, the guy at Paddock in Bangkok does a wonderful job of getting a good fit. I bought a helmet here in Chiang Mai and it felt ok but never great. Had  ridden to Bangkok and stopped by to get it checked out. Ten minutes later, felt like a new helmet and a perfect fit. Paddock is a Shoei dealer so I don't know if they do other brands but worth a check,

Cheers mate, i'll go have a look there...also need some good raingear which can stand wind.

Without the innerpads this helmet is even too large for me, so actually i don't need to cut the innershell at all...just thinner pads would also work i bet. And if they are from Shoei and customized to fit i'll be happy....

If the padding is made of white polystyrene, just use sandpaper until you get the right fit, that’s what I did anyway

The padding is made of special cushions with hard edges...

The innershell is made of some hard polystyrene and covered with a liner. At cheap helmets that;s easy to press but this one is much harder. Yes maybe sanding will work but i first need to buy glue to put the liner back on the innershell foam. Hope i can find that.

But first i'll try to get new pads or even drive without them...

I also got mail from Schuberth, they wanted to know why i wasn't happy with their reply from the helpdesk...well because the helmet still gives me serious headaches and for 30.000 baht thai price i expected something better from Germany. Or at least better aftersales.
