Temporarily disable tablet keyboard touch pad ?

Featured Replies

  • I have a 10.1 inch tablet and a detachable keyboard for it also (Chuwi Hi10 Pro Tablet) . I use a wireless mouse so I do not use the keyboard touch pad. I use to have the prompt to disable it but I forgot it and can’t seem to find it again searching the net. It was just one or two keys, like the windows key and a F key or maybe Ctrl and F key. I don’t want to do a permanent disable, just the two keys each time I restart the tablet. It is operating on Windows 10. The bottom of my typing hand rubs the touch pad as I type causing errors all the time and it is annoying. If anyone knows the keystrokes I would be more than grateful is you would share them with me. (I have actually cross posted this thread from the "Mobile Devices Forum Nov.4" because of not getting the information requested other than loading an additional program which I do not want to do. I hope this is acceptable.) Thanks

Yes I know the problem I was forever doing it!

On my Acer, which also runs Win10 it's  Fn+F7

Worth a try.

Hey thanks but that didn't work on this machine. The thing is I found the shortcut in about 5 minutes last June and have searched for hours just lately and can't find it. I am good at writing that kind of stuff down but in this case I didn't, lesson learned. Thanks again.

This video reckons that Fn+F11 should do the trick.

Yes, that is it doctorman, I can't thank you enough. I really appreciate it and you know what, that is the same video I found it on the first time. After seeing it, I recognized seeing it before. I wrote it down already also, haha. Case closed, finally.
