Then you need to go into the bios, before Windows starts up, and possible re-set that. I think it is F2 or F12 as it is booting.

I would not suggest to any inexperienced users to play with the BIOS set up. What OS is the OP using?

I am not saying reinstall isn't a solution for OP,yeah,it can help OP out. But there are even more perfect ways to be safer than that.I read all the suggestions and even opened those tools in my browser. They can actually crack the password as they say.

https://hashsuite.openwall.net/

https://www.windows10passwordreset.com/

https://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

They are also good at cracking the laptop/PC.

The thread is 6 months old, OP is probably long gone. Or at least fixed the problem by now

If you have Saturday morning free then you might get to a local IT Centre (Where in Chiang Mai?). Ask one of the IT shops there to re-install Windows and maybe an old copy of Office. Assuming they can do it there and then and you have the time to wait it should cost you under 1000 baht. As for any data well maybe a write-off. Good luck and safe journey.

Why would you trust such a shop with their fake software?

They're often activating genuine programs with a fishy activator and after a few weeks, you see the "not genuine sign on your screen.

I'd suggest getting a W 10 ( or whatever OS she's using bootable media, then boot from the CD/DVD and make a System Restore.

  That will most certainly work.
