Video: Son of cop YouTuber in Khon Kaen faces jail for shooting fireworks at dogs

A YouTuber in Khon Kaen has been arrested and faces two years in jail for showing off an adapted "MINIGUN".

 

The man - known as "Nai Tay" - posts videos about guns and gun reviews, reported Sanook. 

 

In one video he can be seen laughing while shooting a gun made from a PVC pipe and fireworks. He is aiming at balloons but there are dogs in the vicinity. 

 

Ban Pet police in the north eastern Thai province were worried about copy cats and said the behavior was inappropriate.

 

They are charging the man - son of a low ranking police officer - with abusing animals, a charge that can result in a two year jail term and or a fine of 40,000 baht.

Regarding the video, it looks fine for the dogs, but it could have been really bad if trees around caught fire.

Oh Come On! Why does everyone have to make a mountain of something out of nothing? The kid was having fun, the dogs were having fun, and nothing was in a bad spirit. If that was me in the USA years ago before the US become too retentive, I might have shot it under the dogs to make them jump. Seriously Thailand?

The guy may be a bit of an idiot but the dogs seemed to be enjoying the action. A head scratcher as far as I am concerned. Police/prosecutors should focus on real crimes. Plenty for them to do.

My friends and I did stupid things, but NEVER tried to shoot anything at an animal. That's evil behavior from where degenerate sociopaths are born.

He did not shoot anything at the dog having FUN. I have killed birds with my bb gun and 22 and shot guns before. Did not make me a degenerate sociopath. also have sling shot many o animals in my life time. Did not make me a degenerate sociopath. I was sorry about stoning a large rattle snake to death one time. But Did not make me a degenerate sociopath.

There's still time. Killing animals for fun is wrong. I have several hunter friends and admire their skill, and they use every part of the animal, and make sure it's a clean kill. Killing animals for fun is wrong.

Umm, yes, sometimes I will kill a black chicken and pluck it for either eating or for first an offering and then we eat it. Yes, I have helped kill a buffalo, but that was for a funeral party for a deceased grandfather. So what is your point? I am a frim believer that in order to eat meat you cannot be a hypocrite and never have done the dirty job. Never fun, but is life. .

Sorry, but its not Buddhist to sacrifice black chickens or other animals to Buddha.  He was a vegetarian and did approve of killing at all.  

 

As for the ghosts... is that your new religion now so you have to do these things?  I can say with certainty none of my Thai neighbours or friends are going about sacrificing live animals to ghosts.  In fact, they release birds, fish and frogs for merit making, not killing them.

Yes, you sure have lived here a long long time... and now you  have started seeing ghosts and communing with spirits (which like you to kill animals for them).

 

Do these ghosts talk to you?  Maybe the poster saying that people who like to kill animals for fun was right when they said its something to do with mental health.

While it could be called a bit of harmless fun, sort of thing we might all have done in our youth, a couple of points make this guy totally irresponsible. 

 

For one he is "shooting" to wards the house (is the door open) which could have set the house on fire.

 

He is "shooting" from the back of a pick-up which means the drops of hot material dropping out of the "gun" are landing on the roof of the car or worse on the windscreen which will leave little melted blobs on the glass.

 

Worst of all when he is turns to face the camera "look how great this is" his "shots" are going all over the place including into neighboring property.
