My "Lost in Translation" moment at Honda dealer

I have a PCX with the smart (electronic) key. The other day my dashboard key light started flashing while I was driving. So I pulled over and turned off the engine, and the alarm started up, arrgh! It took a bit of futzing to get it to turn off. It started flashing again as soon as I got going, so I took it to my dealer.

A mechanic came out and I explained the situation. As he was talking to me, I was listening for key words like 'battery' and 'short' because my Thai isn't great. But he pointed up in the air and started talking about wires. I wasn't expecting that. So I suggested we find someone who spoke English, because I had no idea what he was talking about.

We went inside the sales area and a woman there said she spoke English. He told her what he told me. Now, this explanation was about was about 20-30 seconds long. And he's talking about the overhead wires again, but I figure she'll be able to clear up my misunderstanding.

He finishes, and she turns to me and says, "No problem."

"Uh, what?" I say. She repeats "No problem." And looks at me like I should be satisfied with that.

"Did he say the overhead wires were interfering with the key?"

"Yes."

The mechanic smiles like 'problem solved.'

I didn't persist, I know when I'm beat.

Anyway it happened again today. And I figured it out. If the key is in my pocket and next to my phone while the Bluetooth is working, it interferes with the signal. I moved the key to another pocket and the problem stopped.

Can't you turn the "smart" key feature off ?
KISS

Almost the overhead wires. Cell phones do everything
