Just a little reminder of what bale has done with madrid.

Bale won four Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey, three Uefa Super Cups and three Club World Cups with Real and scored more than 100 goals.

He remains the most expensive British player in history, as well as the top-scoring British player in La Liga - with 80 goals and 40 assists in 171 league appearances, averaging a goal or assist every 104 minutes.  So one in two playing the majority  on his wrong side... How terrible...

Why wouldn't you want him in your squad... For zidane. It had to be he eat 2 much of his wage budget up. And he no doubts could get 2 maybe 3top draw players for what he was paying  bale..but for us  with shirt sales and when fans are allowed he'll fill those empty seats when clubs with smaller followings hit the lane likes the man cities and Burnley's..  so ABSO NO DOUBT levy will get value for his pound.. which with his current  I don't think Madrid would have ever... But hey...some you win some u lose...that's life.

Didn't I hear levy say we'd MADE 170ish mil last year... So..... Debts NOT a worry for spurs.. ESPECIALLY given the extraordinary low interest rates if ever there's been a time to have  debt it's now

Not my debt so don't care...I just enjoy the football and that second half was a total pleasure.

Hopefully despair will be creeping into your evening deej.

Kane doing double duty as a distributor and scorer. An incredible player who still doesn't get enough praise. As I have said before, maybe he needs some tattoos and an "interesting" nightlife.

The higher and the more Southampton pressed us.. the easier they became for us to counter.. stunning finishing from son and some great lay offs  from Hari.. though 2b honest I thought Southampton made it easy for us.  Simple over the top balls causing defensive errors/panic ,  that shouldn't happen in pro footie at all, let alone in the prem...lesson for the rest of the prem DONT sit high against us  and DONT lose your c/defensive shape/ positions or else....

Perhaps very low interest rates presently. But when Loser Levy did his gig surely higher ,along with no gate money what so ever, and not for the the foreseeble future either

You  Spuds  can sugar coat Loser Levy  mountain of debt for all you want, but the fact remains , it,s there to be repaid and presently Loser Levy is having difficultly in servicing it.

The Accountant is back, but still not doing his reasearch i see ???? anyway can you provide evidence of the last quote ?

Daniel Levy has insisted he will continue to run Tottenham on the balanced and relatively frugal business plan that has characterised his 18-year chairmanship after he announced a refinancing of the club’s stadium loans.

Spurs borrowed £637m from Goldman Sachs, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and HSBC for the £1bn project and the money was due to be repaid by April 2022. But through US investors Levy has converted roughly £525m of the debt into a bond scheme, with staggered maturities of between 15 and 30 years.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch, which acted as lead placement agent and sole bookrunner on the bond issue, has provided a £112m term loan and HSBC has granted a revolving credit facility. The idea is to limit Spurs’ debt-servicing costs and the average annual interest rate on the new arrangement is 2.66%

So re-structuring a debt to obtain lower payments means you have trouble servicing the original debt :cheesy: the accountant strikes again.

Looks like the Orient game is off with their team riddled with the virus sadly.

I suspect England is heading for a few weeks of total lockdown soon anyway...so we might all be casualties soon.

Kinda boring discussion here. Loads going on Spurs right now on the field.

Odd time to be offloading Alli whilst his value is the lowest it will ever be. 55m max and that's on the basis of PSG. No one else would touch him even at 40m. Shame as he was a top player but his off field antics have maybe provided too many glimpses of a prat and damn awful fashion sense too.

Feel a touch for ali.. did a job as a stand .CF  when   ari was injured and overall did an ok job.   Not outstandin but ok.. got injured doin so.. though regular hamstring issues ARE something that the physio team SHOULD  be managing,. And playing out of position the perception of  his form and subsequent confidence has suffered a touch. Basically  cos he's was taking one for the team.. Alli has been a class act... and given a  run in his favoured position he will be again  form comes and goes .. class stays....was that shanks or Robson.. either way Ali is a top draw player...and unless Madrid or psg come in .. someone with VERY VERY  deep pockets he won't be going anwhere... But let's not forget EVERY player has his price.. and don't forget Levy ALWAYS gets top dollar for players....and as for the debt .. 2.66 interest .. is managable..work the maths out   and do go get a life boys or talk about football..
