CHIANG MAI, 14 December 2018 (NNT) – The Royal Park Rajapruek will open a full-bloom tulip garden during the Christmas and New Year holidays from 25 December 2018 to 10 January 2019.

The Highland Research and Development Institute's (HRDI) Director Ruchira Rimphadi said the Royal Park Rajapruek will open the tulip festival, showing colorful tulip flowers in once-a-year full bloom during 25 December 2018 - 10 January 2019.

This year's display will feature the concept of "Charms of 100,000 fields," with a variety of flowers such as tulips, lilies, and orchids from Royal Projects, arranged over 470 rai of land, as well as performances and demonstrations of traditional customs and cuisine.

The park also features an exhibition of King Rama IX, disseminating the late monarch's teachings and wisdoms. The park is open daily from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. For more information, please call 0-5311-4110-5.

Look nice I never knew they grow Tulips up there

The bulbs are refrigerated to simulate winter-dormancy and then grown in cooled greenhouses.  They are only good for one bloom cycle and I hope we don't have too many hot days between Christmas 10 January if they plant them in outdoor gardens.
