I thought it was for a Subway

Featured Replies

Saw this poster on the "Irrigation Canal " road and thought it was for the often talked about Underground passenger railway.

Showed it to the owner of Center of Universe and as he is fluent in Thai he says underground tunnel to bring water from Mae Tang to CM, before I put my foot in it with Passenger railway.

A discussion with other customers followed, which went off course when one a poster on this forum changed subject to Red Cock Whiskey, of which I once saw a bottle in CM.

Interesting find.

Never noticed any news about it.

Indeed an irrigation tunnel under supervision of Royal Irrigation Department.

Little information in English available.

Some photos about the construction on their Facebook site.

I exchanged e mail with the only engineer I know who has built railways in Thailand, he is aware but not involved in the suggested project.
