Hi, can I be put in gaol if I work yeah in over there without a permit? Or can them good people do as they please? How can I make sure am not abused?

Your employer should be able to kick off the work permit process before you arrive, it will help you get the necessary B visa.

 

Where are you applying from, what passport do you use?

Just make sure you have enough cash on you, and you will be fine. The abusing happens in the deternation camps, so if you can pay your ass out, you will get the first plane home with a 10 year or lifelong ban on you. 

If you fancy being banged up for a few days or however long it takes you to pay for a flight home and blacklisted for at least a year.

I am not going to any jail I can tell you that. Not employer, mate, an honest partner and they are not kicking off anything as yet I said not until I was there. We are going into business if we can shake hands on a deal either way to it. Only passport I got where I come from. I just wanted to know the process. Is it written down in place where I can find it?

What is deternation? A ten year or lifelong ban? I am not into anything illegal, mate? All legit shit. But I want to get there first and talk to the partners.

With no company set up you're not getting a WP, period.

 

But if you're just visiting to discuss with potential partners you have no worries, this is permitted with no WP.

The fine for you for working without a is now 5,000 to 50,000 baht. I don't know if you could be deported for it

i am no getting no work permit coz i shant be working no sewing machine in chinese factories. i am not paying that fine if youse thing i was working when i was not. its fine if they just ask me to leave because i cant do business. i will leave. what youse sayjng about not getting deporting is err strange. with all the banged up talk above.

Take it to the bank, after a while in IDC deportation is welcome and 100% sure.

If the authorities raid wherever you are operating and determine that you are "working" then it's off to jail, court appearance, fine, deportation, you really don't have any say in it.

 

But if, as you say, it's (at least to begin with) business meetings and discussions you won't have a problem.

 

And it DOES matter what passport you are travelling on as to exactly what's needed to obtain your WP once you get a company going.
