Any of you guys can help out with any "in-working-order" spare or no-longer-used

DDR2 Ram 2GB (PC2-6400) for desktop pc, laying around in a drawer or box and just collecting dust?

I have an old desktop pc that I'm looking to bring back from the dead and use in a spare room.

I don't seem to be very lucky with buying hardware, as I've now on three different occasions bought used ram sticks, that turn out to be
completely dead (maybe no surprise, there).

The pc apparently works very well, apart from the fact that there's only 1.5gb ram, so things go amazingly slow.

One 2GB stick would be very welcome - two 2GB sticks would be absolute heaven. ????

You're welcome to contact via pm

Cheers, all - and thanks. ????

Think I have exactly what you need, occasionally use them on friends PCs etc

Will check later and send you PM if I can find them

If it is an old machine I would check the motherboard specs and see what the MAX RAM and slot configuration is before buying.  Many old machines are limited to only 2GB or maybe 4.  Also some must have both or a certain number of slots filled with identical sticks.  Also check the PIN numbers and frequency.

Thanks, Guys - all is resolved (and with a happy ending, too). ????

Ebay? Not sure if I can even use it, as I don't have a debet/credit card.

Yep - max ram 4gb, 2 slots - a 32-bit machine.

Thanks for the help

Cheers  ????

This thread prompted me to rummage through some of my old computer bits.

I don't have what the OP wanted but am curious how to tell what version of DDR I have. There don't seem to be any obvious DDR markings so how does one know?

 Just curious

Strawberry is 128MB sdram on 133mhz with clock 3 working on 3,3 volt

Sapient is 128MB sdram on 100mhz with clock possible on 3 too and working on 3,3 volt

ValueRam is 256MB DDR1 on 333mhz clock 2.5 on 2,5 volt

And the last one 128MB DDR1 on 266mhz with clock timing 2.5

So these are all DDR 1
