Telegraphed Pattaya prison raid finds no drug use, contraband

PATTAYA:--Chonburi officials inspected Pattaya Remand Prison looking for drugs, weapons and other contraband, but found none.

Deputy Gov. Thawatchai Rodngam led the much-publicized Dec. 26 raid with 223 soldiers, police, public health officers and Banglamung District officials tossing 4,000 cells.

Inmates also were randomly tested for drugs. In 349 tests, none were positive.

Thawatchai is an rank amateur. The Big BJ would have found all 349 drug tests positive....not to mention another 3,566 prisoners guilty of assorted visa offenses.

Wasn't there a similar raid on Nong Plalai prison a few months back with the same nothing result?

This is a very big lie

drugs is easier to get than clean drinking water in prison

That I had heard from meny people there had been in prison

That is almost the same thing when Russians said no doping in Russia

Big lies

What is next no corruption in Thailand???

This telegraphing is all part of the serve and protect motto of the Thai police.  Most of the raids on Walking Street where no violations were found are firmly in this bracket.  Only those businesses who failed to pay for this 'protection' are found to have violated some statute or other.

If true maybe they should be invited to run prisons in the UK.
