Any reason why we're seeing ads from India on love matching or whatever and no I haven't opened any of them.

Just another spammer that has been removed permanently. We get them all the time.

The last days they were quite active.

Be patient as they will be removed within a couple of minutes (usually).

There are "spam factories" in misc. poor paying countries where people sit and do such stuff manually.

The same category where you can buy some thousand of likes from different facebook accounts.

Yes sure.

But it's mainly to promote businesses/corporate sites, boosting "app" popularity/downloads, driving traffic to web sites, blogs etc. "boosting popularity".

Just Google "buy facebook likes" and see endless offers.

10000 likes for only $297

A simpler form is the "click farm" where people click paid advertisement.

10000 mobile phones and a bunch of low paid "clickers".

Some time ago a gang of Chinese operating such a click farm from Thailand was uncovered.

It was a bit of a "mystery" how they got thousands of Thai mobile phone SIMs :whistling:

But, but, if you don't use facebook you're living under a rock, well that's what I was accused of on TV.

I'm a bit distracted tonight, watching a movie based on the book by Victor Hugo, I thought it was a story about an unhappy Australian called Les Miserable. Seems I was wrong.
