Pattaya pushes for on-time completion of Naklua roadwork

PATTAYA:--Pattaya officials urged a contractor rebuilding Naklua Soi 17 to finish the project on time.

Deputy Mayor Pattana Boonsawat and city engineers surveyed work being done by Boonkitthana Co. on the road linking Soi Photisan with the Hua Tung Community.

The 1.6-million-baht project begun Nov. 3 will see a new reinforced-concrete road built with 3-5-meter-wide sewers underneath. The 505-sq.-meter project is slated to finish by March 2.

Pattana acknowledged complaints from businesses along the road that their trade has been damaged by all the roadwork. While Boonkitthana appears to be on schedule, the deputy mayor explained the problems to the contractor and urged workers to finish the job on time. (PCPR)

Construction standard,.......late and over budget.  :whistling:

In many countries contracts include finish date. If company goes beyond that, they are subject to financial penalties. Urging is a waste of time. Money talks and is listened to.

Business owners on Pattaya Nua should complain that few cars now use this road since Terminal (well-named) 21 came to town.
