Is this the "Little Surprise" of 47 and the Speaker?
Point #1: Does "democracy" truly exist or even mean anything? If political leaders needed to check in with the entire population every time they wanted to do sth, nothing would get done because everyone would be arguing about everything. There is a mostly benign form of control in most countries. Some better than others. Also, there are "think tanks" behind the scenes that you don't hear about in the daily news. Really, I think govts take advice from these think tanks. I don't think they just pull a bunch of decisions out their butt-holes, but neither do they check in with the average Joe, who knows very little about how to run a country. Point #2: Does absolute power by anyone truly exist? Will Trump really influence every aspect of your life as much as you think he will? Or are you being delusional? When you are a child, your parents are your dictators. If you had crappy parents, then the first part of your life is hard.. When you go to work, then your company/manager is the dictator. They don't constantly ask you what you think, if ever. You need to do what you're told to collect that paycheck. If you're lucky, they're decent people and a decent company. Some are worse than others. But if you don't like the rules, you need to look for another job. Or create your own, in which case you become the dictator and get to impose your rules on other people. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, because you cannot operate a company without rules. It just lends itself to abuse. -

Colombian Theft Duo Caught After Chiang Mai Burglary Spree
Not the first time Colombian gangs specializing in housebreaking have operated here. Several have been busted in the Pattaya area over the last 10 years. Apparently, used household goods of all types get good money in S. America where import duties are extremely high. In the Pattaya cases, they had a container waiting and would fill it directly from the truck used in the burglaries. In Pattaya they would bribe housing estate guards to point out homes where the residents were away for extended periods, then clean entire homes out of whatever they could carry. -

That is just a smoke screen. 10,000 questionably trained North Korean troops that don't speak Russian are going to have little to no impact. Apart from this there is zero evidence that these troops are actively engaged in Kursk. The sanctioning of the ATACMS, Storm Shadow and anti personnel mines has nothing to do with it. The fact is North Korea has been supplying Russia with weapons and ammunition for quite some time. -

Normally, in the case of driving without a license, the insurance company has to pay, but demands the costs back from the driver or the owner of the vehicle. However, I don't know if this is the case in Thailand. -

Gaetz withdraws from AG
Now selected is Pam Bondi who supported trump's claims, among other issues, of a Stolen Election in 2020. IMO anyone who supports trumps claims with zero evidence is unworthy to be AG, but we know in MAGA it's a requirement. Let's see how many trump appointees end up with charges as they did during his last administration.
