A driver was arrested on Wednesday after police at a road checkpoint in Prachuap Khiri Khan's Sam Roi Yod district found 210,000 methamphetamine pills hidden in his pickup truck.

Police found the drug hidden in several secret compartments after the driver, identified as Surachai Kreethong, 41, failed to produce his driving licence and ID card.

Police said Surachai calmly stopped his pickup at the checkpoint for police to check but he did not carry his driving license and ID card, prompting police to search the pickup.

Police found that the pickup belongs to a 61-year-old woman in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Police will summon her for questioning.

Surachai said he was paid to drive the pickup to deliver the drugs to a recipient in Nakhon Si Thammarat.

He claimed he picked up the drug from Phetchaburi but police noticed that the meth pills carried the same symbol of meth pills normally smuggled through Chiang Rai's border.

No the sharpest tool in the shed. Not carrying licence or ID card

This guy has destroyed Darwin's theory of evolution.

He has over 200,000 yaba pills and knowing police do random  ID /licence checks along many roads and highways doesn't bother to carry one.

Maybe a distant relative of a farang who was caught smuggling coke on his person and was still wearing a trouser belt and had some gum tin foil in his pocket.Didn't bother to remove them before going through the metal detector.
