It's the little things (that p__s you off)

I have a couple of things that get my goat. Nothing serious like the British Embassy or Immigration  just annoying to me. The first is Sweetners. The ones I buy come in a small plastic dispenser.

One click and a sweetener appears except it doesn't. I takes anything up to 8 or 9 clicks and that's with shaking it, turning it upside down and back again. My brother in law when he remembers brings me over Sainsbury's Sweeteners . They have the same plastic type dispenser which works fine 95% of the time, One click one sweetener. It wouldn't be so bad if the ones here weren't so expensive compared to the UK.

One more thing. People sitting on my motorbike, I don't actually care if someone sits on my bike its when they put the back footrest down so they're more comfortable and then leave it there. So that when I walk up to the bike I kick it. If the wife's on the bike I make sure the footrests go back to the upright position when she gets off because I've barked my shins on them so many times I don't want to do it again.

Bike parking... now that's one thing that gets my goat...  I have a nice new bike and some tool parks so close that I am unable to tip my bike up enough to kick up the side stand. Instead I have to shimmy their bike across just so I can get my bike upright enough to kick up the side stand and get out of my spot...

What else gets my goat in Thailand?... lots of things... how do I manage them, just like anyone else, get on with it and don't let them impact my day - its just life and half the people we are surrounded by are below average intelligence...

They're called 'handsum man' flashbacks... usually experienced in Nana-Disco...

Son...your problems will produce an unmanageable level of stress...you may want to voluntarily check yourself into a facility where they can help you relieve your anxiety...like a Jomtein Soi 6 massage parlor...

Don't get me started on airports and travellers. I am sure that 90% of people check in their brains along with their luggage when making a trip through an airport.

  • Standing in groups of 10 on a travelator moving at 2km/h so no one can get past. Normal walking speed is roughly 5km/h.
  • Waiting 10 minutes in the security check line then once at the machine start removing their clothes and taking out a 10kg of metal objects from their pockets. Then still leave something on them that beeps 5 times.
  • After getting on the plane then take 10 minutes to decide where their seat is actually located although it printed out for them on the boarding pass. At which point they then act like they are choosing furniture for their house.
  • Arrive at the immigration desk and then start filling out the form.
  • Getting on the plane with 10 pieces of hand luggage and 15 duty-free bags and then take up all the overhead space available within a 3km radius.
  • The TSA in the USA. Their intelligence and IQ is lower than people who work in Walmart.

Just a few for starters.

I will stick with:

Scooters on footpaths

Pedestrian crossings

Red light runners

Muffler noise

Cooonts walking across my path when Im walking in a straight line

Buying imported food products that are stale once I open them

Vehicle prices and lack of choice

Imbecile drivers, actually foookin numpty's

Students in my Uni do this all the time. Simple answer is to move the motorbike, if it isn't locked, and put it as far away across the car park as is possible. Luckily for me, the car park is full, so I hide it among the other bikes and they can then spend time finding their bike.

If I am at Tesco and some dick does this, the bike is generally locked, so I move it out into the middle where it is blocking everyone else. I then take out my bike and leave theirs out there. Petty, maybe, but that lazy barstewart only parked that close to me because they didn't wanna walk too far.

Selfish, thoughtless on their part. I then go about my day. ????

How did the OP manage in the real world.....Had to ask !!

People who keep their back packs on when standing on a very crowded Sky Train. Oh, and slow walkers. Actually, many more things. Didnt realize how easily I got wound up.

You can overcome that stress by taking up one of the offers. But that could lead to stress of a different kind. It's a cruel, cruel world.

On the other hand it is the truyly little things that irritate a mellowed out dude like me: the gordian knot rubberbands, the permasealed packaging on even 7-11 donuts, horribly shaped toes in fancy sandals......

I have never suspected that people were using my motorbike as a place to rest themselves...in almost 20 yrs?
