Police in Chiang Mai soon arrested a man who had gone to a coin-op launderette to steal ladies underwear.

 

A woman had reported ten items worth 6,000 baht had gone missing from the Tha Phae branch of "Hot Wash and Dry". 

 

CCTV was examined and the miscreant was soon caught by the roadside in Sriphum Road. 

 

Niyom, 44, a pervert from Phrae, admitted hiding the underwear in a pile of litter about ten meters from the launderette.

He said he enjoyed sniffing ladies smalls for his own sexual gratification. 

 

He was found to have been arrested for similar offences twice before. He admitted to many other such offences. 

 

He was charged with theft whilst using a conveyance.
