How do you like your Raptor ?

Anything positive / negative issues ?

I am getting mine soon, but have not driven it yet (GF has approved).

For my usage I will get the electric bed cover installed.

Is the suspension as good as they say ?

Can the 2L engine do the job ? Normal usage / no offroad

Don’t think it matters if pricing example in comparison to ones

Country is an issue. Shows what you may be looking at HD Streetglide $20,000 USD and equivalent to $60,000 USD here.

That is huge.

i bought a used truck a year after I moved here. We were able

to get 5,000 off after they called the bank to ask must of been

a repo.

I had in my mind a new car is more expensive and reluctantly I should have, Used cars at the dealer we went to were overpriced.

we traded it in a year late for a new Isuzu.

It’s not much of a jump new bs used and you know what your

getting. The used truck we bought 4 years old AC was shot.

Two times to repair shop never what it should have been.

Used truck 1 day after purchasing had sensor problem that took a

Few days to sort out. Luckily I went to the dealer a few blocks

from the repair shop and after some conversations they paid for it.

If your planning to stay for awhile buy new you’ll be happy you did.

A lot of new car dealers have really low interest .05

Hopefully you’ll find something you like..

So you bought a ride you know nothing about...?  ????

No !

I know how it looks and Tech Specs.

I have not driven it myself, but my test driver has.

The question was what your experiences are with the ride ?

Good luck trying to find a place to park it - unless in a shopping centre or Big Box store.

See many trying to drive down the Sois - hysterical !

And I agree - 1.7 Mil !!! Screw Loose comes to mind

So you are seeing many in the Sois and it is overpriced !

All the buyers are wrong ?

Popularity does not equate with correctness - just look at the Yahoos who pay mega for a Benz

Do a lot of off road ? OK

But for a daily driver - Sheeple

So comfort in a car plays no role in your life ?

2L seems small for lump of steel that size, even my Revo is 2.4L
Didn't see the the necessity for anything bigger but would not have gone under 2.4L

1.7mil is a whopping price tag.....

I've been reading a lot about people getting problems with the 10 speed auto box, not sure how widespread the problem is as we have a 5yr old Fiesta and never had any problems with auto box even though a lot of people did.

Like most things, stuff that has past all the tests to go into production "should" be near bullet proof, but it seems a small percentage of "bullet proof" stuff ain't...

In the years I have been reading motoring stuff on here Ford must be near top of the list for problem chat...????

I have the same engine/transmission in my Everest.  It has plenty of power.  The 2 liter has more HP than the older models with larger engines.

A bog standard wildtrak is faster too (its lighter). At least the ride and brakes will be better on the raptor. This is a hardcore offroad vehicle and performs best in such places, which is what it is designed for. Have fun parking at Tops in it:) An everest would be a better buy.

Still no Raptor owner has replied ?

I'm supriced many looks at it as a overkill or luxury buy beyond "normal".

It is on par with what the Fortuner brigade pays for their stuff, which is pretty common here !

Anyway I have made my choice, and was just asking if anyone could confirm a good experience with it.

Im sure power and suspension will be fine.

I have been using a 2016 Hilux 4x4 as a daily at work for 2 years and this is the stiffest most uncomfortable thing on uneven roads I have ever driven.

t is actually so stiff empty, it is close to being dangerous to drive.

I choosed the Raptor over SUV's that are 3-4 times more expensive (actually my test driver did), so if it's only bling factor we are after , we may have screwed it up.

But which pickup is the most powerful ? Is the Benz better than the usual Japanese $hit ?

All trucks that I tried behave like tractors, they are awful, how can you drive this ?!

Anything with 200hp at least ?!

I like your detailed answer, but I can't find (in this thread) the question for it...

Hopefully you won't drive it like the other Raptor owners who seem to show off in their pimped up pick-ups with the fancy bonnet air vent and 'big bolt' on wheel arches.... typical Ford stuff.

I wasn't considering the Raptor before, and after watching these 2 clips it's definitely off my wish list...

In the second vid the guy confirms what our lad told me, his chum has a Raptor and finds it's under performing around town, they are not wowed...I am a little surprised as it has very low ratio initial gears to compensate for perhaps low rpm torque numbers...

They all seem to drive the same when it comes to parking, its like watching someone dock a cruise ship in some of the small condo and shopping mall carparks, and small sois. I get embarrassed watching these guys with 6-8 cars waiting for them to do a 6 point turn to get in/out of a spot.

Seems to be a remarkable amount of them up for resale after a few very short Km's - maybe thats just the "look at me" buyers that cant keep up with the payments.....or it's just not that good...
