CT Scan (Kidney)

Featured Replies

I recently had a cancer Abalation  of my left kidney in Brisbane. My surgeon wants me to have a CT Scan after 3  months and sent to them at the Royal Brisbane Hospital on a CD.

Has anyone had this done, if so where and how much did it cost.

Many thanks.

I have not had it done myself, but Bandon Hospital next to BigC in Bo Phut has a (fairly new) CT Scanner, and so do Bangkok Samui Hospital in Chaweng Noi.

I know (from experience) that Bandon Hospital can share CT scans with other hospitals over the Internet, for immediate expert opinions; probably same with Bankok Samui Hospital.

The two other private hospitals – Samui International in Chaweng, and Thai International next to Tesco-Lotus in Bo Phut – might also have scanners now, a few years back it was only Bankok Samui hospital having one.

Try to talk to Bangkok Samui Hospital – would be my first choice, but also little more up-priced – if they can do it; Bandon Hospital would be my second choice.

????

The Govt hospital did mine but I didn't need to send details elsewhere. I cannot recall how much but it wasn't expensive.

I had a CT scan at Bangkok Hospital Samui earlier this month.

Cost 20,000 baht with 4,000 baht discount for being a local resident (farang). Net 16,000 baht

Results were on a CD for portability
